Ladies and gentlemen,
dear employees,

A year full of challenges is behind us – and a year full of challenges lies ahead of us. When it comes to the economic forecasts, we started an uncertain 2019 fiscal year. The projections for the oil and gas industry are stable, while the automotive market in China is feeling the headwind triggered, among other things, by the trade conflict with the USA. This development also harbors risks for the economic prospects in Europe, and the industrial business is also heavily influenced by this environment.

Our performance in 2018 has demonstrated that, even though individual segments developed differently, we, as the HOERBIGER Group, operate successfully. We work consistently to achieve strong positions for our individual Business Units. We do everything in our power to help our customers achieve success. To begin with, satisfied customers make it possible to pay our salaries – if they are successful, so are we. Aside from a strong focus on customers, our innovative strength plays an important role. The development of the revolutionary eSuppressor™ for the Safety Division showed HOERBIGER the exceptional achievements that are possible when we pool our Group wide expertise and strengths.

We operate in a challenging competitive environment. Remaining successful in the long run will only be possible through cost discipline and efficiency, be it in our plants or in our offices.
